2025 Bull Sales

All our bulls for 2025 have been sold and at their new home, from Bonneyville area to the east and Caroline in middle Alberta, as far south as Princeton in the south Okanogan and Burns Lake to the west. And of course all the breeders here in the Peace River District in both British Columbia and Alberta.

An excellent year in sales with 31 bulls sold to 19 different breeders. We thank each and everyone and good luck calving next year. Healthy active calves, that is why we do what we do.

Next up will be heifer calves sales in the fall after weaning. Marsha will be sorting out the ones we will retain out of 30 or so. And I will be picking out the bull calves for developing out of 40 plus. Will have a good selection for next spring. Again thanks to all or our buyers that have supported us year after year.

Calving 2025

By the middle of April we were all done calving for the year, a lot more bull than heifer calves. A good selecti0on of AI calves that came mid February onwards and then the cow herd started calving March 5th and all done except 3 by the end of March.

Easiest calving season that we have had by far. We will thank the weather, the bulls and of course the cows for a trouble free season. Three sets of twins and 73 healthy calves.

28 young bulls on feed

We have a good selection of young bulls on feed this winter for sale in the spring after bull tests in April. Lots of light birth weight animals for use on heifers.

We feed up to two pounds of pellets in the cold weather plus good hay to keep their rate of gain around 2 pounds per day. This insures that they develop for breeding in the spring and are not carrying fat that will impact sperm production or make them lazy.
